I love to draw and paint, but I also love to eat and experimenting with recipes! It wasn't until this year that I realized that the way for me to avoid deadlines and basically procrastinate is by cooking. It brings me to a space where I am still creative, loose -- and maybe unconsciously satisfies my physical reaction to stress -- by eating! I think a dream assignment for me would be doing a cookbook. While that has not happened to me yet, I think I will start with my own adventures with creating food!

This was a super easy one, and definitely a must-have at home. Yes, you guessed it: Chili Sauce! Growing up in Southeast Asia, food never feels complete if they're not accompanied by some sort of chili sauces. Chili oil is made with a combination (and not limited to): Sichuan peppercorns, chili flakes, star anise, cinnamon, bay leaves, and salt! Even though this sauce uses a lot of spices, does not overpower any dish. And because of the oil, it can be kept for at least a couple of weeks, if not, months! 

I don't take credit though, this recipe was directly taken from with my own modification when it comes to taste. Anyways, this was as much fun as cooking the chili itself!
